Lisa Molina – Saved

Saved

Pink pulsating
womb cord
joins
mother
and
daughter
together.

At birth,
extra cord cells
collected,
frozen,

Saved.

Graciously given
to an
unknown
boy’s
cancer-ridden
body.

Eleven years later,
boy is now
pulsating with
fresh pink
pure blood.

Saved.

The boy
and
the girl
bound together
by the
shared cord
and blood.

For eternity.
Anonymously.
